J. Lynn Partridge October 11, 1955 - February 22, 2021

J. Lynn Partridge passed away February 22nd 2021 at Mountain View Hospital in Payson, Utah. He was born October 11th 1955 at the Hughes Memorial Hospital in Spanish Fork, Utah to Ernest Vane Partridge, and Maxine Johnson Partridge.

He was a true farm boy, and from the moment he could walk he spent his days out on the farm getting into mischief and making memories everyday with his sister, and brother’s.

J. Lynn was educated at schools in Spanish Fork, and graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1974.  In high school he was very active in FFA, and won many awards and earned the American Farmer Degree.  He then attended Utah State University before serving a mission to the England Bristol, and London South Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

When he returned home from his mission he married his high school sweetheart Jane Ann Hallam July 1st 1978 in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple.  They settled in their home town of Spanish Fork, and had thee children: Michelle Elizabeth, Jonathan Edmond, and Adam J. Partridge.

Following the death of his Wife Jane Ann in 1990, he married Marilee Stott on March 19th 1991 in Mesa, Arizona and gained three more children: Darcie Lynn, James Ray, and Alisha Whitney Epps.  They had one son together: J. Ryan Partridge.  J. Lynn and Marilee were just a few weeks short of celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary, and spent all those years having fun, and making memories with their large family.

J. Lynn came from a long line of Farmers, and this was his lifelong profession.  In his youth and young adult life he worked with his Dad and Brothers and operated a large dairy; Flonette Farms which was home to many well bred, award winning Holstein cows.  He also owned and operated a trucking company and hauled livestock, and the farm grown alfalfa hay throughout many parts of the United States.   Later he shifted to beef production, and the last few years has bred Angus with Japanese Wagyu, which has produced some of the best tasting steaks around.

J. Lynn had many hobbies and interests over the years.  In the mid 1980’s he purchased a commercial ice cream machine and allowed his children to be creative with all sorts of new flavors – the most famous (OR INFAMOUS)  being chocolate ice cream with gummy worms, and whoppers.  He was interested in Geology, and also well versed in anything related to history.

He loved music and had it playing loudly in his shop, truck, and of course his tractor.  J. Lynn enjoyed quizzing first his kids, and later his grandkids on the names of every band, and song playing on the radio.  For him music became the soundtrack of his life, and he would recount what he was doing, and where he was the year that a specific song was released.

The past few years J. Lynn has enjoyed restoring classic cars, and has completed several full restorations; which includes one beautiful shiny red Farmall tractor.  J. Lynn loved attending car shows with his family and friends, which were always fun, and usually loud, rowdy events.

He was a family man through and through, and lived to spend time with his wife, kids, and his 29 grandchildren.  He served them all in many ways throughout the years.  He was proceeded in death by his Parents, Ernie and Maxine, Wife Jane Ann, and Grandson Charlie.  He is survived by his Wife Marilee Partridge, his Children: Michelle (Shane) Von Hoene, Jon (Alli) Partridge, Adam (Crystal) Partridge, Darcie (Dana) Zeeman, Jim (Bethany) Epps, Alisha Epps, and J. Ryan (Breanna) Partridge, and 28 Grandchildren.  Sister Marilyn Lunt, Brothers: Allen Partridge, and Clark (Cynthia) Partridge.  Many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of J. Lynn. Our family knew Ernie & Maxine and the Partridge family through our parents close friendship. I was lucky enough to often visit the dairy in the ‘60’s, with my Dad and try to keep up with J. Lynn. Many great memories. My thoughts & prayers are with the entire Partridge family.
