HuLene Bradley Strong, of Spanish Fork, Utah, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away suddenly Monday, October 11, 2021, at the age of 81. HuLene was the fifth of nine children born to Hugh Stoddard Bradley and Elozia Johnson Bradley in San Francisco, California on August 31, 1940. She had three brothers and five sisters. At age five, her family moved to Farmington, Utah where they lived in a humble two-bedroom home with a large yard.
HuLene attended Davis High School where she loved to play sports including basketball and volleyball as well as participating in pep club.
She attended beauty school and always appreciated hard work, obtaining a job at a beauty salon to earn money for her mission.
She faithfully served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Florida. When she gave a talk in church on the occasion of her mission homecoming, a young adult her age was impressed and sometime later decided to serve a mission and they exchanged letters throughout his mission. This young man later became her husband after serving his own mission. HuLene and Wayne were married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in June 1968.
The early years of marriage included moves from Utah to California to Utah to California for work but also blessed HuLene with four beautiful children that kept her busy.

Some of her favorite family activities included trips to Disneyland, San Diego, Santa Monica Beach, and of course packing up the station wagon for summer trips to Utah to visit family.
She loved decorating her home for the holidays and especially loved Christmas and hosting family. She loved to listen to music and often sang along as she worked.
HuLene also loved working with the youth. She served in many callings faithfully in the church and especially treasured her time working with the young women when her only daughter was a youth. She served with compassion, kindness, and patience. She loved mingling with youth and helping them to achieve their greatest potential.
In more recent years HuLene served in the cub scouts and loved planning meetings at her home and seeing the

wonder in the eyes of the children as they would learn about and create new things.
HuLene served in the Payson Temple for many years with her husband in the baptistry helping patrons to perform thousands of baptisms for the deceased.
She loved meeting with her “PALS” home evening group for empty nesters in her home ward every week.
She was a loving and kind mother, always quick to serve her children and others in need. She spoiled her grandchildren with whatever treats she could find and loved to talk with them and was at ease watching them have fun. She loved receiving pictures of them as they grew up and sharing their photos with other family and friends.
She loved to share her testimony of the restored gospel seasoned by her mission experiences and nurtured her children to have faith in God and Jesus Christ. She loved serving in the Church and the gospel of Jesus Christ, and her family meant everything to her.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne, children: Tammy (Chris) Taylor, Greg (Kristina) Strong, Gary (Sabrina) Strong, and Jon (Laura) Strong, seventeen grandchildren, siblings: Afton (Lowell) Stevens, Colleen (Robert) Mumford, Karen (James) Garner, Norma (Steve) Smith, Penny (Nick) Rose, Ted (Lisa) Bradley, and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Ben (Gaylie) Bradley and Gary Bradley.
