Our much loved, hardworking father and grandfather, Guy Junior Farley, passed away peacefully at home in the morning of September 3, 2020. He was born in Goshen, Utah, July 5, 1929, to Guy Eugene Farley and Ella Hansen Farley. He graduated Spanish Fork High School; then attended Snow College. He married his high school sweetheart, Hannah Marie Carson, in the Salt Lake Temple, on December 7, 1949. They have three children: Steven, Gus, and Loetta, and made their home in Salem, Utah.
Dad spent most of his career working at BYU in the Data Technology Department, retiring after 30+ years there. He also had a typewriter repair shop in his home.
He was totally devoted to his wife. She was the light of his life. He possessed a very positive attitude; never negative. He loved his family above all else and delighted in his grandchildren. He loved helping all of them in each of their activities, enjoyed working projects with them and for them.
Guy loved farming and raising cattle. He and Hannah Marie maintained a large garden for years, loving to work side by side, in it. He was a very hard worker at any task he took on. His other interests were fishing, and hunting. He was a people person who thoroughly enjoyed visiting with people.
He is a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was extremely service oriented, devoting countless hours helping anyone and everyone. He was generous to a fault. He served in various church callings over his lifetime. He very much like working at the Provo Temple. He loved his Savior and the gospel.
Guy is survived by his children: Steven (Syrie) Farley, Gus (Trudy) Farley, and Loetta (Jon) Farley-Wadsworth; 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granchild. He had a special relationship with a niece, Janice Munoa, and a nephew, Rob Richardson, both of whom survive him. Also, survived by his brother-in-law, Allen Carson. He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Hannah Marie.
The family expresses many thanks to Bonnie and Cami and the I-Care Hospice team for their tender and steadfast care of their father in his last days.

September 8, 2020 at 7:22 pmOne of the sweetest, most authentic and joyful men I’ve ever known. I worked for Jr. for 2 years at BYU and we are also relatives. (Maybe a little nepotism their?! Lol!) He made working and going to college a lot more fun for me. Love, love, love him!
