March 24, 2026 at 8:32 pmI just learned today of my dear friend Gordon’s passing. My heart is sad, but full of gratitude for my friendship with him. I first met Gordon about 10 years ago when he came in Bert Murdock Music in Orem looking for some student guitars. We became fast friends, and he became a loyal customer. We had so many good chats about all kinds of things. His passion for music was evident, and he loved teaching his 1 finger guitar method to kids. He bought many many guitars and gave them away to kids wanting to learn to play. I remember when he drove to the store and showed me his renewed drivers license when he turned 100. So may great memories. I will miss him dearly. Gordon was a kind and Gentle Soul. He always said to me as le left the store. “Have a Happy Day, and Many of ’em”. Rest easy old friend, til we meet again!! – Kyle Nish – Bert Murdock Music Orem Utah
