Glen Elden Johnson, 76, of Spanish Fork, Utah, passed away on November 8, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19. Glen was born in Provo, Utah, on December 21, 1943, to C.A. Johnson and Ivy Hibbard Johnson. Glen had two siblings, Donna Larsen (Karl) of Midvale, and Wayne Johnson (Pat) of Tooele.
Glen graduated from Provo High School in 1961, and then went on to serve and protect his country for the next two years with the US Army in Germany.
Glen married Gaylene Mitchell Johnson on December 21, 1985, and together they have made many wonderful memories. Some of which they have enjoyed most were family gatherings at their home, frequent summer trips to Lake Powell with their grandchildren — where the kids loved diving for dollars, exploring and camping in Canyonlands, attending the Moab Car Show, and bowling competitions for grandpa’s dollars for spares and strikes. Together, they have been blessed with 5 children: Natalie Anderson (deceased), JonRay Johnson (Julie) of Sandy, Brent Johnson of Spanish Fork, Kari Rawlings (Shawn) of Spanish Fork, and Christine Haskell (Scott) of Monticello. They have also been blessed with 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, who all meant the world to Glen.
Glen was intelligent and very successful in his personal and professional life. He worked through his retirement as a journeyman electrician for Geneva Steel, and then as successful business owner, following retirement.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie Johnson; and his parents, C.A. and Ivy Johnson.
We will not forget the fun and peace that Glen brought to our family — along with his words of comfort, encouragement, and sharing of his own life lessons and knowledge. We will always cherish these wonderful memories.
The family has chosen to not hold any public services at this time, due to the current Covid-19 conditions.
