George L. Hanson, 79, of Kearny, Arizona passed away on December 1, 2023.
He was born in Payson, Utah on April 20, 1944, to Elna Irene (Sanderson) and George J. Hansen. George graduated from Flowing Wells High School in Tucson, Arizona. He married Bernice Louise Anderson on June 22, 1985, in Mesa, Arizona.
George worked in the Asarco Ray Copper Mine in Kearney, Arizona for over 42 years and had a passion for golf and loved adventures on ATVs.
George was preceded in death by his parents Elna Irene and George J. Hansen; and is survived by his wife Bernice Hansen, two daughters Gayle Hansen and Wendy Minner, two stepsons John and James Brletic, ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A public visitation will be held in Mesa, Arizona at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care on Thursday, December 7th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. George will be laid to rest in Santaquin City Cemetery located at 100 East 300 South in Santaquin, Utah on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
