Frances May Mach, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, in Spanish Fork, Utah. She was born on April 11, 1946, in Roanoke, West Virginia, to Cecil G. Albert and Sarah Frances Hundley Albert. Frances grew up surrounded by the love of her two brothers and two sisters—Carl, Fred, Carol, and Betty—each of whom shaped her early life with warmth, humor, and resilience.
On October 10, 1968, Frances married the love of her life, William Lester Mach, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they built a life defined by hard work, devotion, and deep family bonds. Frances was never afraid of a challenge and held a variety of jobs throughout her life, including working as a 21 dealer, a bus driver, a taxi driver, and later as a head janitor. No matter the role, she approached every responsibility with dedication and pride.
Frances had a vibrant spirit and a wide range of interests. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading, scuba diving, and fishing—activities that reflected both her creativity and her love for the outdoors. She was a member of the LDS faith and carried her beliefs with quiet strength and sincerity.
Her greatest joy came from her family. Frances is survived by her children, Frances Patricia McLian and William Grady Mach, as well as nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Russell, her husband, William, her brother, Carl, and her sister, Betty.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 20, 2026, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at the LDS stake center located at 1150 East 1240 South, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends are invited to gather, remember, and honor the remarkable woman who touched so many lives.
