Fili Leilua was born on July 23, 1980, in Faga’alu, American Samoa. He was the 2nd of 13 children born to Fili and Viniaga Leilua-Seufale. On January 22, 2020 with his family by his side, he returned to Heavenly Father to reunite with those eagerly waiting on the other side.
Fili and his wife Natasha have 3 children, Ioane Utufua Leilua, Tino Chico Leilua and Halia Ruth Leilua. They were sealed as a family for all time and eternity on May 10, 2014 in the Provo Utah Temple. He was a loving father to both his daughter in laws, Mariana and Kacia Leilua. He was a proud Papa who adored his beautiful granddaughter Kailei Halia Louise Leilua and was looking forward to the birth of his first grandson expected to arrive in March who will carry on his name.
To those closest to Fili he was known as Fua (Utufua). He had a strong testimony in the Gospel that could be felt by all those he met. He had overcome many obstacles in his life and loved others unconditionally. He would give all he had to help anyone in need. He worked hard to be a great example for his children and siblings. He was an amazing Husband, Father, Papa, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend, who always put his family’s needs and happiness first. Nothing made him happier than having his entire family over to his home to eat, laugh and play games together.
He loved to go to the gym, play cards, golf, play pool, fish and camp. But most of all Fili loved to watch his children play sports and get down and play with his granddaughter.
Fili has 8 surviving siblings, Ana, Shannon, Tuise Jr, Aiofaiva, Sooula, Paogo, Viliamu, and Dave. He also has 6 nephews and 2 nieces. He is proceeded in death by his parents Fili and Viniaga and 4 siblings, Ruth, Sau, Patricia and Tuise Sr.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 2020 at 12pm in the LDS Chapel at 1625 S Slate Canyon Drive, Provo, Utah. A visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery, 420 South 400 East, Spanish Fork, Utah, at 3:00 p.m.
