Evelyn Partner Parry was born on May 19, 1951 to Thora Mae Partner and Harry Elbert Partner in Panguitch, Utah. She passed away from cancer on June 22, 2021 at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah.
She grew up in Henrieville, Utah and attended elementary through high school in Tropic. She graduated with honors from Bryce Valley High.
She was very talented. She participated in several groups during high school, including: Drill, Yearbook, FHA, and Drama. She especially excelled in drama, winning several drama reading competitions.
She was first introduced to her sweetheart, Grayson, through her sister, Carol. She waited for him while he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were married in the St.George Temple on March 20, 1971.
She attended college for 2 years at Weber State College and earned her associates degree. She loved children and they loved her. She taught pre-school and ran her own daycare for several years.
Throughout her married life, Evelyn lived in Parowan, Orem, Payson, Spanish Fork and was currently living at Stonehenge in Springville, but she always considered Payson her home.
She was very social. She enjoyed any opportunity to visit with others. She had the most contagious smile and a laugh that could brighten anyone’s day. Evelyn especially loved her children and grandchildren and cherished every moment she got to spend with them. They were and continue to be her greatest joy.
She was diagnosed with MS in her early 30’s but didn’t let it define her. She continued to serve, to care for, and love others. She remained positive despite the pain and physical limitations she faced and always focused on others even when she had every right to focus on herself. She was a great example of Christlike love.
She is survived by her children: Brandon (Meg) Parry of Spanish Fork, Travis (Shasta) Parry of Salem, Shawn (Ronda) Parry of Perry, Utah, Crystal (Jim) West of Heber City, Jana (Larry) Nobuhara of Mapleton. She is also survived by 2 sisters: Carol (Bill) Holmes, and Marilyn (Chuck) Bilbo and two brothers-in-law: Lee Sorensen and Joel Harrison.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grayson, her parents, and two sisters: Joyce Sorensen and Louise Harrison, and a brother-in-law, Rick Beard.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 26th, at 11:00am at the LDS chapel located at 3477 East Rivers Bottom Rd., Spanish Fork, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday evening, June 25th, at the same chapel from 7:00-8:00pm and again just prior to the service Saturday morning, from 9:30-10:45am. June 24, 2021 at 4:10 pmIn the beginning, we grew up in the same small town then attended the same small school Years later we found ourselves back to back neighbors as we were young mothers with little kids. We stood by each other through the joyous times and especially the hard times when we needed an extra shoulder. A bond of friendship was built that time or distance will never erase. She enriched my life in so many ways with her positive attitude through her many trials. Although she didn’t make it back to Henrieville the last several years, her heart was still there. I will miss her calls to check on how everyone was and all the latest news. She always sent flowers to be sure her loved ones who had passed on would not be forgotten. I’m sure she’s celebrating with them now. She h ad a strong testimony of her Savior and practiced Christlike love to all; always putting others above herself. I will miss her so very much, but I’m at peace knowing where she is and so filled with joy that she was part of my life and left me with so many wonderful memories. Love you my special friend!!

June 24, 2021 at 4:55 pmI will miss my sweet friend so much. I was her visiting teacher in Spanish Fork and continued those visits for about 12 years. Even when the changes came and we no longer had “visiting teaching” I still went to visit her. We had lots of Gospel discussions and shared in each others lives. She was an amazing woman– always so happy, and never found fault in anyone! I loved her dearly and will continue to love her in our next life as I am sure she will be there waiting for her Visiting Teacher. To all you children: your mother was so special and what a treasure to remember her love for all of you. Sincerely, Janet McManus
