Evan Jeffrey Soper October 14, 2004 - July 12, 2022

Evan Jeffrey Soper passed away July 12, 2022, after a personal battle with depression.  He was 17 years old.

Evan was born in Orem, Utah on October 14, 2004, the last of three boys to Kent and Char Soper. At an early age, he would approach any person of any age and have a conversation with them.  He was not shy and had such a big heart. He enjoyed camping with his family where he was the designated wood splitter.  Another favorite activity was fishing with his cousin Colton.  He also enjoyed high end RC cars and boats.

He loved increasing his knowledge. Evan excelled in school and his UCAS teachers frequently sang praises about him.  Learning new things from YouTube videos happened frequently and he was excited to share them with his family.  But his greatest passion was cars and he often idolized rotary engines.  The shows “Top Gear” and “Grand Tour” were favorites as well as car-based anime.

Evan is survived by his mother and father; his older brothers, Griffin and Keegan; grandmother, Gerene Pyne; grandparents, Lois Dikes and Bill Higham; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins who care for him deeply.

Services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022, including a gathering for family and friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah, followed by a graveside service at 12:00 Noon at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery, 420 South 400 East, Spanish Fork, Utah.
