Eric Patrick Marx passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2025. He was born March 17, 1957 in Price, Utah to Roy Dallin and Patricia Marx.
Eric graduated from Springville High School salutatorian, 2nd highest GPA in his class. He also completed one year of college at BYU.
Eric married Kim Chadwick April 24, 1982 and they had four kids. They later divorced.
Eric was a general contractor specializing in drywall/finish work. He was a jack of all trades there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. He enjoyed fixing up cars and houses and working on them with his kids and nephew.
Eric had a passion for learning and passing down his knowledge to his children and grandchildren. He was an avid collector of many things which included his music collection and guitars. Eric loved being outdoors whether it was hunting or fishing. He was also sure to recap his adventures through the years. He was thoughtful with his words and chose his words with care. His calm demeanor was what attracted people to him.
Eric is survived by his four children Melissa (Jared) Walker, John (Julie) Marx, Justin (McKenna) Marx and Christopher (Shelbie) Marx as well as his 10 grandchildren that were his pride and joy! Also, by his two sisters Loreli (Troy) Anderson, Shanna Marx, brother Kirk Marx and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dal and Pat Marx.

April 9, 2025 at 6:02 pmI met Eric the of summer 2012 with my good friend Shanna Marx Eric’s loving sister. Eric and hit it off talking about fishing, hunting and the used to be’s anything really always find something to laugh about, Eric was easy to talk to. I really enjoyed his company over the past 12 and half years. His stories were in great detail I was planning a summer of fishing with Eric. He is missed by so many.
