Enrique (Ricky) Muñoz passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 surrounded by his family in the comfort of Huntsmans Hospital’s care. Born July 15, 1950 to Jose & Maximina Muñoz in Aguascalientes, Mexico. He married his sweetheart, Alicia Muñoz, on December 23, 1973.
Enrique had a passion for all things outdoors and agriculture, he set off to establish a career doing just that. He found working outdoors to be not only a way to support his family and a point of personal pride but feed his passion whether it be working on the dairy or later on in life working for the City of Spanish Fork.
Enrique lived a rich life with many passions that he shared with all including his love of all things baseball. He was always very family oriented looking to spend time with those close to him even if it was just to eat his favorite meals from KFC. Having pride in his appearance he became known for always having a well groomed mustache. No matter how far he moved from his childhood home in Aguascalientes Mexico, his heart never left continually looking forward to spending time in his home.
He was a member of the Catholic church, and he had a spirit of service that was always willing to give help to anyone in need. Enrique was a man that valued his family above all else and had a love for them that was unrivaled by anything else in his life. Enrique was a strong, calming presence in the lives of the many people who loved him. His wit, humor, and loving warm hugs will be sincerely missed.
He is survived by by his loving wife Alicia; his siblings Crusita, Jorge, Pepe, Angel, Antonia, Guillermo, Raquel. He is also survived by his children Enrique Muñoz Jr. (Sandra), Lucy, Roy (Fabiola), Jeff (Kristen), Jimmy Lee (Yesenia), and 9 beautiful grandchildren whom he cherished and maintained a close relationship with all of them.
A viewing will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018, from 8:30 – 10:30 at Walker Mortuary, 587 S 100 W Payson, Utah. Funeral Mass and services will be held following the viewing at 11:00 AM at San Andres Catholic Church 315 N 100 W Payson, Utah. Interment to follow at the Payson City Cemetery Payson, Utah
