Emajean Wilson Diamond, age 90, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 15, 2021. She was born in Payson, Utah, on September 1, 1930, to David Claiborne Wilson and Emma Rachel Kinder Wilson. She graduated from Payson High School.
She married the love of her life, Paul L. Diamond, on October 31, 1950. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on June 25, 1963. Together, they raised three children: David Diamond (Kerry) of Payson, Utah; Nancy (Thayne) Banks of Payson, Utah; and Dennis Diamond of Payson, Utah.
Emajean served in many callings in the LDS Church and was a volunteer Pink Lady at Mountain View Hospital for many years. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family. She had a love for animals, was an accomplished seamstress, and an amazing cook. Her husband, Paul, always did the gardening, while Emajean did the canning. Emajean and Paul enjoyed their winters in St. George, Utah.
Emajean is survived by her husband of 70 years, Paul L. Diamond; son, Dennis Diamond; daughter in-law, Kerry Diamond; brother, Kent Wilson; her grandchildren: Kristy (Bill) Eastwood, Jessie Bischoff, Sarah (Brandon) Hawkins, Seth (Justine) Diamond, Brady Banks; and her great grandchildren: Madison (Preston), Bridger, Gracie, Brylee, Boden, Karlie, Maycie, and Brykelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Emma Wilson; son, David; daughter, Nancy; brother, Harvey; sister in-law, Diane.
As a family, we express our gratitude to Maple Creek Hospice for their care and compassion that they showed to Emajean and her family.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 11 am to 12 Noon at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah 84651, followed by a graveside service on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 12:30 p.m. at Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah 84651. In case of inclement weather, services will be at Walker Funeral Home in Payson, starting at 12:30 p.m.
