Elesha Marie Eddy Burton
1985–2021
On March 30, 2021, Elesha Marie Eddy Burton journeyed from this life to a more peaceful retreat, meeting with loved ones on the other side of the veil.
Elesha was born September 17, 1985, in Provo, Utah, to Elwood Vest Eddy Jr. and Angela Sue Thompson Eddy. She was the second of seven children. Elesha graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 2004. She married Leland Charles Burton on April 23, 2016, and they were sealed in the Provo City Center Temple on May 25, 2017.
Elesha loved music and had a beautiful singing voice. She was a collector of motivational thoughts, which helped her endure her trials. Her family marveled at her faith, persistence, and ability to stay positive throughout her long battle with type 1 diabetes and its complications. She experienced life to the fullest despite her physical limitations.
She achieved her primary goal of marriage in the temple to form an eternal family. Elesha was a dedicated wife and mother. She loved spending time with extended family and doing family history. She was an example of courage and determination up to the time our Heavenly Father called her home.
Elesha leaves behind her dedicated eternal companion, Lee; her son, Nicholas Burton; her stepdaughter, Amanda Burton; her parents; and her six siblings: Brett, Jared, Chalissa, Michael, Matthew, and Mirissa Eddy. Her surviving grandparents are Terry Thompson, Bonnie Woodland, and Louise Eddy.
Elesha’s family looks to her example to remain positive when the journey gets tough and life is unkind. Every passing minute hastens the time until they can be together again as a family.
Till we meet again, Elesha. Godspeed. We journey on.
Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1627 Cadbury Lane, Springville, Utah on April 5, 2021. A viewing will be from 10:45–11:45 a.m., with the funeral following at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Springville City Cemetery.
For those that cannot attend, we will be streaming the service at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnGlT0f1nFM
