Eileen Nanette Litchfield, 82, of Payson, Utah, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021. Eileen was born on January 7, 1939 in Downey, Idaho to Richard Quintus and Elaine Content Armstrong.
On November 1, 1960 she was sealed to Gilbert Guy Litchfield in the Mesa, Arizona temple. Together they had 10 children.
She completed her schooling to become a cosmetologist and put Gil through college. Eileen was a homemaker. She loved the NBA (Professional Basketball), dancing, cooking, cleaning, and water aerobics. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Eileen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Over the years she was Relief Society President, Primary President, and Nursery Leader (which was her favorite). Eileen also served as an ordinance worker in the Provo and Payson Temples. She and Gil served as senior missionaries in the Irvine, CA mission.
She is survived by her husband Gil Litchfield, children Laurie Litchfield Burdett (Guy) of Lehi, Utah; Vaunn Litchfield (Barb) of Olympia, WA; Darrin Litchfield (Teresa) of Olympia, WA; Richard Litchfield (Staci) of Mill Creek, WA; Rodrick Litchfield (Katie) of Washougal, WA; Sara Litchfield Watkins (Dan) of Lehi, UT; DeeAnn Litchfield Smith of Highland, UT; and Mark Litchfield (Genevieve) of Bentonville, AR. She is also survived by her 23 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Elaine Armstrong, sons Andrew Litchfield and Dana Litchfield, granddaughter Kenna Watkins, and great grandson Eli Leishman.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:30 am at the Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson. There will be a visitation Friday morning from 10-11 am at Walker Funeral Home in Payson, 587 South 100 West, prior to the Graveside Service.
