Donna Lou Olsen Stevenson, 89, passed away on the morning of June 14, 2024, in Payson, Utah. She was born February 4, 1935, in Los Angeles, California to Mary Lucinda Teachnor and Donald Block Olsen. She grew up in California, where she also lived in Torrance and Bakersfield, before living the remainder of her life in Payson.
Donna married Rulon Wayne Stevenson in Los Angeles, California on June 6, 1953; they were sealed in the Mesa Arizona Temple in 1954. They had three kids: Linda Darlene, Terri Lynn, and Daryl Wayne.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Donna’s favorite callings were in the Primary, where she served as a primary teacher and was Primary President for a time.
She worked for a while at Savon Drug Store. Her main devotion in life was to her husband and children. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting, and embroidery. She also enjoyed cooking and cake decorating.
Our beloved mother and grandmother will be missed, but we know she is in heaven enjoying an awaited reunion with her husband, as well as visits with other loved ones and friends.
Donna is survived by her children: Terri Lynn Bowan and Daryl Wayne Stevenson, and two grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rulon Wayne Stevenson; and her daughter, Linda Darlene Stevenson.
A graveside service, where family and friends are invited to gather, will be held Thursday morning, June 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Payson City Cemetery, 800 East 400 North, Payson, Utah 84651. There will not be a viewing.
