Donald Clark Searle, aged 86, peacefully departed this life on February 19, 2024. Donald was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, beloved by his family and highly respected and loved in the community.
Born on March 2, 1937, Don was 1 of 4 children of Donald William Searle and Edra Clark Searle, he being the only son, and he carried forward their legacy with pride and love.
Don married Phyllis Marie Allen Searle on November 1, 1961 in Elko, Nevada; later sealed for all time and eternity in the Manti, Utah temple, September 26, 1970. Together they raised their 4 children, Greg, Eric, Mike and Monica.
Throughout his 86 years, Donald lived life with joy and enthusiasm. His love for the outdoors, motorcycles, and racing were complemented by his role as a great dad and a supportive parent. Don’s dedication to his wife and children was unwavering.
He was not only a dedicated father but also his kids biggest fan, attending dance performances and wrestling trips around the country. His presence at these events, his encouragement, and the pride he took in their achievements.
Don proudly served in the United States Army, 1961-1963, a commitment that reflected his dedication to duty, honor, and country. Don went on to work hard as the proudest potato farmer you’ll ever meet. His efforts as a farmer not only sustained his loved ones but also became a testament to his hard work and resilience. Don was also a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
