Don Sterling Cloward, 59, returned to his Heavenly Father on March 8, 2019, after an honorable life here on earth.
He was born February 18, 1960, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Sterling LeRoy Cloward and Melva Irene Fenstermaker Cloward.
He had resided at Medallion Manor in Provo Utah, for the last 25 years, where he made many friends with clients and care givers.
Despite his many disabilities, he achieved many wonderful things in his life. During his youth, he participated in the Utah Special Olympics where he earned many metals and ribbons, even going to New York to compete in the National Olympics, where he took a Bronze Medal.
Don graduated from the Oakridge School in 1982.
With 7 years of help from his mother and many Scout leaders, Don obtained his Eagle Scout award and several merit badges from the scouting program.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and graduated Seminary. He knew a lot about the Savior and remembered many songs.
He is survived by his mother, Melva Cloward; sisters, Mary (John) Gavrila, Birdseye, Utah; and Maxine (Roger) Parry, Mapleton, Utah; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Sterling Cloward; and nephew, Jeremy Harris.
We will miss his playfulness and laugh. He loved his Pepsi and had an enormous hat collection.
The family would like to thank Medallion Manor for their care and support for Don and our family, and Rocky Mountain Hospice for their wonderful care and love in his final days.
A visitation will be held for family and friends on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, from 10-11 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 S. Main in Spanish Fork, Utah, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at Salem Cemetery, 130 East 965 South, Salem, Utah.
