Diane Elaine Taylor Trageser January 25, 1944 - September 5, 2022

Diane Elaine Trageser (nee Taylor), 78, of Spanish Fork, Utah passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family on September 5, 2022. Diane was born on January 25, 1944 to Orvel Edward Taylor, Jr. and Donna Mae Taylor (nee Vaughn) in Cedaredge, Colorado.

Diane graduated from Downey High School in Downey, California. She continued her education and graduated as a Registered Nurse (RN) from the Los Angeles County General Hospital School of Nursing. When she was in her 50’s she attended Holy Names College in Oakland, CA and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

She married her high school sweetheart, Stephen Thomas Trageser, on August 21, 1965 in Downey, California. Together they raised four children, Angela, Michelle, Joe and Heidi. In 1971 they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Diane worked for 48 years in Labor and Delivery at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she loved serving as a Sunday school teacher for the adults and children, participating as a choir member, and serving for 13 years in the Sacramento Temple.

She had many hobbies she loved: genealogy, art and graphic design, seamstress work, and participating in all aspects of community theater in Northern California.

Diane is survived by her beloved husband, Stephen Thomas Trageser and children, Angela Merrick of Spanish Fork, Utah, Michelle Harwell of Placerville, California, Joseph Trageser of Spanish Fork, Utah, Heidi Neider of Cumming, Georgia, 16 grandchildren: grandsons Christopher, Ryan, Tristan, Jonah, Aiden, Jordan, Joseph, and Jacob, and granddaughters: Kylee, Chanelle, Taylor, Trinity, Taryn, Alyssa, Abby, and Brooke, and 8 great grandchildren: Emma, Rose, Lyla, McKenna, Aiden, Charlie, Lucas, Tayson, and by her brother, Larry Wayne Taylor.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and infant daughter, Brooke Diane.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24th in Spanish Fork, Utah. For details, please contact a member of the family. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the Alzheimers Association.
