Diana Lynn Dunton Peterson, age 48, passed away unexpectedly on May 16, 2020, at her home in Springville, Utah. She was born August 1, 1971, in Central Point, Oregon, to Lyman Lewis Dunton III and Adale Irene Faoro Dunton. She married Jared W. Peterson, and together, they were parents to four daughters and four sons.
She earned her Associates Degree in Accounting through Provo College, but she never stopped learning everything she could, about any topic in the world. Diana was an “important stuff doer!” She always made sure whatever needed to be done, was getting done. We would all have lost our heads, if it wasn’t for her. Her hobbies and interests included reading (she was a voracious, enthusiastic reader), studying, using big words that we had to look up the meanings of, searching for new recipes and cooking, going to concerts, and decorating.
She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Diana is survived by her husband, Jared; and their children: Jessica Lynn Byrge, Springville, Utah; Joshua Don Byrge, Springville, Utah; Sean Samuel Peterson, Puyallup, Washington; Zackary Jared Peterson, Pleasant Grove, Utah; Celeste Wilson, Springville, Utah; Lyn Peterson, Springville, Utah; Spencer W. Mathies Peterson, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Also survived by one granddaughter, Trinity Lynn Irene Mooney; as well as three sisters: MaryAnne Finch, Janine Kent and Marianne Kittreson. She is preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Virgil Wilson; a niece, MaKenzie Forsythe; a nephew, Chancelor Paul Forsythe; and her father-in-law, Bruce Maxwell Peterson.
Her family will hold a private memorial for her, at a later date.

May 30, 2020 at 3:48 amMy sister was my first friend, love, confidant, cohort and partner in crime ???? No-one can possibly come close to paralleling the 48, almost 49 years we’ve had together. This loss is so very profound to me and painful to the marrow of my bones. A correction to what has been posted, It’s Makenzie Lee Forsythe, not McKenzie. She was an amazing, loving auntie to my children Adalai Arielle, Jackson Brandon, Isabella Sue and her grandniece Ivie Rose, as well as her pupper grandnephew, Rocky!???? Life will never be the same; it rarely is. You are loved Binky Boodle Baby????
