Dennis Sherwood Logue, 82, Spanish Fork/ Lakeshore, Utah passed away on February 7th, 2023, from natural causes and returned to his Father in Heaven and family members who preceded him in death.
Dennis was born March 10, 1940, in Tyler, Minnesota to Anthony Sherwood and Ethel Keith Logue. He spent most of his childhood in Marshall, Minnesota. Immediately after graduation, Dennis went west to California to work for the US Forest Service.
It was through his work and his boss that he met his eternal sweetheart, Claudia Province.
They were married September 13, 1969, and later sealed in the LDS Salt Lake City, Utah Temple, in 1971. They were blessed with three beautiful children, 12 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
Dennis worked for the US Forest Service for 19 years and then transferred to the US Bureau of Reclamation until he retired. He then enjoyed self-employment as a construction engineer in California for which he was well known for being a stickler to project regulations and codes which saved companies time and millions of dollars.
Dennis was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. He shared his testimony at every opportunity. Dennis and Claudia served a mission to Panama, San Blas Islands. He loved serving the Lord and the Kuna Indians. Dennis also loved serving in the Provo, LDS Temple.
He had many hidden talents, including writing poems and Jennifer Rebecca Michelle stories which he wrote for his children and grandchildren. Dennis could fix anything. He was extremely smart and always had a desire to learn. He had a keen knack and love for genealogy which he helped instill in his own posterity.
Dennis will always be remembered for his true love and respect for his sweetheart Claudia, and their love for one another. For his ability to make everyone around him feel loved and important. For his witty jokes and sense of humor. Dennis referred to himself as “The richest man on Earth” because of the family that he and Claudia created.
He is survived by his three children: Allen (Andrea) Logue, Cheri (David) Erekson and Shelli (David) Wilson, 12 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren and his sister Geraldine Capps. All of whom knew with great clarity his love for them.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11th, 2023, at 11:00 am in the LDS Lakeshore Chapel, 5916 South 3200 west, Lakeshore Utah. Family and friends may attend a viewing prior to the funeral services from 9:00-10:45am. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork Cemetery.
