Delcia Geist Hill (De) October 17, 1947 - December 20, 2020

Delcia Geist Hill (De)

Born October 17, 1947 in Burbank CA to George R. and B. Eileen Geist.  She married the love of her life on September 14th 1968, and was sealed in the temple September 14th 1970.

She is survived by her husband Nolan Hill, her children: Jennifer R. (Ricky) Lamont, Elizabeth S. (Matthew) Hill, Hannah C. Anderson, Parley R. (Melanie) Hill, and Ted Hill. Her grandchildren are Dayvid, Sadie, Maycen, Gavin, Sophie, Anthony, Reiker, Keyan, Remington, David, and Katelyn Hunsaker. Her two sisters are Alice (Loren) Rucker and Louise M Geist.

This is a time of rejoicing, celebrations, peace and reunions. I am looking forward to being with my parents and extended family. I will be hunting down those elusive ancestors that didn’t want to be found!!

As a convert to the LDS church, I fully understand how close I really was to the Holy Spirit; how much I truly know that our Heavenly Father and Jesus are real – very real in our lives.

In the hymn “Each Life That Touches Ours for Good” these words have always had special meaning to me. I pray that I have touched the life of someone in a good way. To those I have offended, I beg forgiveness. To all who have touched my life in so many ways, I thank and love you!

Most of all, to each of my children and grandchildren, know of my love for each of you. We never hugged enough, you were never too big to sit in my lap and hug. No one EVER hugs enough! My children are my greatest accomplishment in life.

A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Spring Creek Ward, 1080 South 930 West, Payson, Utah.

I worked and played some days with this amazing lady for 25 years, as a School Bus Driver. There are so many things to say about her she was gracious, kind, loving, spiritual, funny, and had a beautiful voice. Oh and she kept after me for 25 years to do my Genealogy, well my friend maybe this was the time I needed to listen. I would like you to know what a great influance you had in my life besides doing my Taxes. All the theater that I went and Watched you in. Know my friend i will look you up when I get there you promised to save me a seat. I am not ready yet and hope not for a long time because I still have alot to work on down here, But with the example you left for all who knew you thank you so much my dear friend. Marsha Steggell

De, thank you for all the fun! Camping with the ward ( scaring you with the tranchula I found) having a spitting contest with all the kids….etc. You were a blast! One memory that I really love is the solo of O Holy Night you sang in sacrament meeting. Beautiful, I remember it every Christmas. I will miss you my friend but know you’re happy. For Nolan and kids, may your memories comfort you. I’m so sorry for your loss.

De I am going to miss your sweet spirit, but know that you are up there busily working on the genealogy you couldn’t get done here! I’ve known you since I was a young kid, growing up at the bus shop around all these crazy fun bus drivers. Later in life you became a mentor at that very same bus shop, teaching me the tricks I needed to know to be a great driver. No matter where my party of life to me you were always there encouraging me along. You will be greatly missed here, but I for one feel great comfort knowing you are up there still looking out for us and encouraging us along!

It was a sad day I heard of De passing. She is such a warm, kind, fun woman. She will be singing with the angels this Christmas. I did get to see her at play in October. Payson theatre has lost a great one. Love you Nolan. May God bring you peace at this hard time.

De is such a wonderful, smart, capable and funny lady. She was the first person I met when I moved to Payson as she stood in my kitchen and said goodbye to her best friend who had been living in my house. She has been a great friend and resource for help and questions over the years. I think she knew everything. So glad for her to finally be finally feeling great, but my heart breaks for those of you left behind. We will miss this dear lady. Sending love and prayers that you may all feel peace and comfort at this time.

    Dear Nolan and family,
My daughter called me with the sad news that De had passed. De was one of her favorite bus drivers. And for me, De was one of my favorite people, getting to know her through my life long friendship with Peggy.
I am so grateful to have been able to visit with De at Joyce’s funeral service.
    Always so sweet and caring.
My heart aches for your loss, but I know she is singing with the angels.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult of times.
    God Bless

For all the smiles and laughter, for all the sincere caring, and for all the patient putting on of whiskers and wigs and intent inspections of make-up jobs before going on stage – we love you, De. God bless in the new angel assignments. See you when we get home.
