Our beloved Father, Papa, Brother, Son, and Friend passed away on August 6, 2021, in the hospital surrounded by his loving children, after fighting a long battle with cancer. He was 59 years old.
David was born on January 12, 1962, to Karl and Carol Branin. He grew up with four sisters (Julie, Klisti, Debbie, and Jill) and one brother (Terry). David went to Spanish Fork High School. He married Debra Blackburn in 1983 and had three beautiful children: Brittany, Sterling, and Tiffany; later divorced; and remained best friends with each other.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, bowling, darts, and softball. What he loved most of all was watching his children and grandchildren playing the sports they loved. His grandchildren were his world, and he loved every one of them so much. Anytime they would visit, it would put a big smile on his face.
Everyone who knew David knew he loved to joke. He made sure there was never a dull moment to be had. He was a friend to so many and he will be truly missed.
He is survived by his three kids: Brittany, Sterling (Kylee), and Tiffany (Tony). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Sam, Adison, Jaxten, Hayden, Skylynn, and Oaklynn; as well as his best friend, Debra Branin; his brother, Terry (Aubrey); sisters, Debbie (Kevin), Klisti (Audra), and Jill (Mark); and his mother, Carol. David was preceded in death by his father, Karl Branin; and his sister, Julie.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening, August 11, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660; with a second viewing on Thursday, August 12, 2021, from 9:45 until 10:45 in the morning.
