We are very sad to announce the passing of Danielle Camille Lucienne Uyehara at the age of 83 on February 3, 2024
Danielle was born in Epernay, France on March 15, 1940 to Daniel & Micheline Drot. She was a loving wife to Richard Sachio Uyehara, married April 11, 1960. She was a caring and loving mother to her children Philippe Uyehara, Teri Dee Koller and Leslie Eddlemon. She was the proud grandmother of Shannon, Kayla, Dylan, Warren, Shawn, McKenzie & Sammy and great-grandmother of Audrey, Sonny, Story & Bowie.
She moved from France to Hawaii in 1960 where she graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor’s degree, then moved to Cupertino, CA in 1972, obtained her Master’s degree and went on to teach French at the middle school. She loved sewing, knitting, gardening, cooking, traveling and spending time with family & friends. We thank her for sharing her knowledge, and especially for teaching us how important family is. She is greatly missed, but all of our memories of her will live on through all who she touched.
