Dane V. Christensen September 16, 1983 - March 12, 2026

Dane V. Christensen, age 42, passed away on March 12, 2026. He was born September 16, 1983, in Provo, Utah, to Roy Vandborg Christensen and Robin Beth Clark.

He will be remembered as a man of kindness, creativity, and a light that shined through the music he shared and the love he gave to those around him.

He spent most of his life growing up in Spanish Fork, Utah, where he graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 2002. From a young age he developed a deep love for the outdoors and a natural curiosity about the world around him. As a boy he could often be found near the river fishing or searching for any critters he could find. The outdoors remained one of the places where he felt most at home throughout his life.

He was known by many as a true “jack of all trades.” If he didn’t already know how to do something, he would quickly learn. He worked with steel, spent time cooking as a chef, and took on many hands-on labor jobs throughout his life. He also spent several years working with grass and landscaping, from working on a golf course to managing the grounds of a retirement community. He took pride in working with his hands and creating something meaningful through his efforts.

He loved the mountains and felt a deep connection to the Rocky Mountains of Utah. If he could have made his home there his entire life, he gladly would have. He loved to hunt, hike, and explore God’s beautiful creations, often finding peace and solace in the outdoors.

Music was another place where he found deep peace. He had a remarkable gift for music and seemed able to sit down and begin playing almost anything. He was a talented musician, poet, and songwriter who expressed himself through creativity and heartfelt lyrics. His music reflected both his depth and his soul, and it was one of the ways he connected most deeply with others.

He was a man of faith, kindness, and compassion. He believed deeply in recovery and the possibility of change. Through his own journey, he developed compassion and understanding for others walking similar paths. He offered encouragement, friendship, and support to many who were striving to rebuild their lives. His willingness to stand beside others in their struggles was a reflection of the kindness and empathy that defined who he was.

He was creative, curious, and loved to stay busy learning new things or helping others. He was well-rounded and naturally athletic, able to compete in almost any sport he tried. More than anything, he will be remembered for his heart and the way he loved people. He was a devoted father to his daughter, a beloved son, a caring brother, a fun and playful uncle, and a loyal friend to many. Those who knew him best remember his tender heart. That tenderness was especially evident when he was around children. At family gatherings he could often be found wrestling, tickling, giving horsey rides, playing instruments, singing songs, and filling the room with laughter. His presence brought warmth, joy, and light wherever he went.

He is survived by his father, mother, stepfather, sister, brothers, former wife Ariane, and his beloved daughter Lilly Red, along with many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Though his time here was far too short, the love he shared and the lives he touched will continue on through all who knew him. He found peace in the mountains, solace in music, and purpose in helping others.

Dane, your light, your music, and your love will echo in our hearts forever. The world is better because you were here.

    Bear Blakley says

My name is Bear Blakley and I am the Pastor of operations at Hills Church in Farmington, New Mexico. Dane hired on here and worked as my groundskeeper. I am so sorry for your loss and I am so sad to see him go this way. Dane was a good employee and friend. He kept the grounds looking good and was involved in our youth program here at the church. He was such a hard worker and was doing really good while he was here. I invested time and love into his life with support and mentorship through all he went through. We used to go disc golfing and he was at my house and even got to know my family. He will be dearly missed but i am glad that he is no longer suffering from the things that he struggled with here on this earth. Dane loved Jesus and it was evident. We are praying for you and your family. Psalm 147:3. He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds
