Dan Watson White April 16, 1940 - March 22, 2026

Dan Watson White, 85, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, at his home in Spanish Fork, Utah.

He was born on April 16, 1940 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to Lois Joseph and Verl Williams White. Shortly thereafter, his family moved to Spanish Fork where he lived the majority of his life.

Dan graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1958 and then attended Utah State University. Dan married Claire Beagley on November 11, 1966, and they shared nearly 60 years together. They were blessed with three daughters; Angela, Tracy, and Lori. His children and grandchildren were among his greatest joys. He cherished time spent with them and took great pride in supporting them in all their activities.

Dan spent much of his life working in the meat industry and retired as a meat inspector for the Utah Department of Agriculture after 19 years of service. He also proudly served his Country as a member of the Utah Army National Guard for 25 years.

Dan was an incredible cook and loved to teach his family his recipes and about the best cuts of meat and how to prepare them. He also had a sweet tooth and couldn’t wait to share with his grandkids, especially cookies. He loved dogs and always had one as part of the family. He enjoyed camping, four wheeling, and vintage cars, especially his 1964 Corvette Stingray that he loved showing off at car shows.

Dan is survived by his wife, Claire; his daughters, Angela Pettro, Tracy Farnsworth, and Lori (Michael) Harrison; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Verl White; his brother, Edward White; and his sister, Grace Ann Thomas.

A Celebration of Life Open House will take place for family and friends at Walker Mortuary located at 187 South Main in Spanish Fork on Saturday, March 28, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Spanish Fork City Cemetery.

Claire – I’m so sorry about Dan. I had to smile when I saw his pictures this morning. He was a fun cousin; I have many good memories especially when we were little kids – playing in the barnyards and the fields around our houses. He was a good cousin and always kind to me. And he was a handsome and funny guy! Remember the good times! Janice Thomas (White)
