Dallas Lee Swenson September 21, 1932 - April 29, 2026

Dallas Lee Swenson, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully after a long and full life. Born September 21, 1932, in Spanish Fork, Utah, he was the youngest of eleven children born to George and Hanna Hansen Swenson. Growing up in a large, lively family shaped his resilience, his humor, and his deep appreciation for the people he loved.

Dallas graduated from Spanish Fork High School and later from Utah State University, achievements he carried with quiet pride. He married Myrna Christensen on April 16, 1960, in Elko, Nevada, and together they built a life grounded in love and hard work. After Myrna’s passing, Dallas found companionship again and married Patricia Terry on June 20, 1992, in Provo, Utah. He cherished both of his wives deeply; they were truly the center of his world.

A veteran of the Korean War, Dallas served honorably in the United States Army. His sense of duty and integrity stayed with him throughout his life. After returning home, he became a skilled carpenter, building beautiful homes throughout Utah County and across the state. His craftsmanship touched countless families and communities. He later worked for Utah County in the Mosquito Abatement department, where he was known for his dedication and reliability.

Dallas had a remarkable range of interests that kept his hands busy and his heart full. He loved fishing, antiques, restoring old cars, attending car shows, archery, and camping. He built a cabin in Fairview—a place that became a haven for family memories. He farmed wheat, tended livestock, and found joy in the rhythm of the land. In his later years, he developed a tender-hearted bond with his pets, especially his beloved cat, “Gray Man,” who survives him and brought him comfort and companionship.

He was also a big sports fan, rarely missing a football or basketball game. Whether cheering from his living room or talking plays with family, sports brought him joy and connection throughout his life.

A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dallas lived his faith quietly but sincerely.

He is survived by his daughters:

• Cindy (Clay) Vance

• Marianne Jacobsen (preceded in death by her husband, Alex)

• Connie (Shane) McGee (preceded in death by her husband, Brent Dallas Swenson)

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 23 great‑grandchildren, and his cherished cat, Gray Man.

He is preceded in death by his parents; all ten of his siblings; both of his wives, Myrna and Patricia; his son, Brent; his son‑in‑law, Alex; and his granddaughter, Tracy.
