Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend Cynthia Marie Herbert left our physical world to return to her eternal home in heaven on November 13, 2018. Although taken unexpectedly and far too soon, we know she was welcomed into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
Born to Brent and Rose-Marie Thompson on January 29, 1969 in Payson, Utah, Cindy was the oldest of six children. As a child, she enjoyed music, dancing, and playing the piano. As she grew older, her love of theatre and music grew which led her to her eternal companion, Derren Herbert. Derren and Cindy were married in Payson, Utah on July 12, 1985 and were later solemnized in the Manti, Utah temple. Shortly thereafter they started their family. They were blessed with five children who fulfilled Cindy’s lifelong dream of becoming a mother. Her joy grew as she became grandmother to six (and counting) grandchildren. She loved serving in her church callings, especially working with the young women. Some of her fondest memories included coaching her kids in soccer and attending their various activities.
Cindy’s greatest accomplishment and source of joy was found in her family. She loved spending quality time with her eternal love, attending plays, taking weekend getaways, and watching movies. Cindy had a love for reading, shopping for shoes, and all things sci-fi and fantasy.
Her legacy lives on through her family: Derren, Heather (Alan), Brittany, Zac (Kendra), Trevor (Taylor), Greg (Andrea), Jayden, Dawson, Caleb, Keaton, Ashlynn, Everly, and baby Herbert.
