On October 22, 2024, we lost our wife, mom, grandma, and friend. While our world will forever be dimmer without her in it, heaven gained a bright light and a beautiful angel. Her witty humor and infectious laughter will be missed every day.
Colleen Allred Brown was born on March 20, 1962 in Sanpete County, Utah. She grew up running through the fields of Fountain Green, where she developed her love for the outdoors, her drive for adventure, and the importance of family.
On September 11, 1987 she married the love of her life, Lonny Brown, in the Manti Utah temple. Lonny says on that day, he saw his angel.
Colleen loved helping others, evident by her 43 years as a nurse. From elementary schools to surgical centers, and health departments to OBGYN, she cared for all.
Colleen loved any time she could spend with her family. Together, we spent many summer nights around a campfire, sharing stories and laughter. She also enjoyed watching movies, her preferences being cheesy Hallmark movies or one that left her on the edge of her seat in suspense.
Colleen loved being grandma. She was always ready to take her grandkids on an adventure proving that there was excitement in everything. Grandma’s house was a safe and happy place, a loving respite from the world. Her love extended to her two grand-pups, who always relished in cuddles and treats from their favorite human.
Colleen loved the gospel of Jesus and fulfilled many callings throughout her life. She loved the messages of hope and love that she received through her relationship with God.
She loved watching the sunset and will be remembered with each painted sky.
Colleen is survived by her husband Lonny Brown; her children Denisha, Jameson, Christopher, and Nate; her two grandchildren Kyler and Sophie; and her siblings Rowena Adams, Keith Allred, David Allred, and Karen Peckham;
She is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Rita Allred and her ever-loyal pup, Meeko.
A viewing will be held Friday October 25 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Visitation will be held the following morning, October 26 from 9:45-10:45 am with service to follow at 11:00 am. Both will be held at Hunter Valley Chapel 950 South 1700 East Springville, Ut 84663.
Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah
