With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cole Dalton Haws, beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandson, and friend, who passed away on August 13, 2026, at the age of 28.
Cole was born on September 16, 1997, in Provo, Utah, and was raised in Payson, Utah. He graduated from Payson High School and built a life marked by hard work, kindness, and devotion to those he loved.
On May 5, 2018, Cole married the love of his life, McKenna Spencer Haws, in Payson, Utah. Together they built a loving home and welcomed their cherished daughter, Genevieve Jo Haws, who became the center of Cole’s world. Of all his accomplishments and interests, nothing brought him greater joy than being Genevieve’s father and spending time with his sweet little girl.
Cole was known for his kind heart, sense of humor, and willingness to help anyone in need. He had a gift for making people laugh and was a loyal friend and devoted family member. He was hardworking and dedicated, recently moving into a Branch Manager position with Daikin, a reflection of his determination and strong work ethic.
In his spare time, Cole enjoyed building LEGO creations and playing video games. Whether spending time with family, helping others, or enjoying his hobbies, he approached life with enthusiasm and genuine care for those around him.
Cole was a wonderful son, an adored husband, a devoted father, and a great big brother. His family will remember his kindness, his laughter, and the way he always showed up for those he loved. He especially cherished the time he spent with his daughter and took great pride in being her father.
Cole is survived by his loving wife, McKenna Spencer Haws; his daughter, Genevieve Jo Haws; his parents, Kimberly Walbeck and Dalton Haws; his grandparents, Ralph and Marilyn Walbeck; and his siblings, Aubrey Maier (Dallen Maier), Porter Haws, and Addee Haws.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, John and Reva Williams and Howard and June Walbeck.
Though his time on earth was far too short, the love Cole shared and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. The world was brighter because Cole was in it, and the love he gave to his family and friends will continue to live on through them.
