Clyfton James Allen Funeral Service

Clyfton James Allen, our dearly loved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend, passed away at age 38 on August 14th, 2024, after losing his lifelong battle with anxiety and depression. He passed in the early morning hours in the Provo, Utah hospital. Clyfton, the youngest child of Jerry Clyff Allen and Myrna Freeman Allen, was born on November 19th, 1985, in Provo, Utah.

Clyfton had many talents and hobbies that he enjoyed throughout his life. Culinary arts was his passion. His love for cooking began as a child and continued throughout his life as he made many delicious, artistic, and exotic dishes. He also had a great appreciation for music and played the guitar. He loved fishing and being in the outdoors. And he found his peace in the serenity of the mountains.

Clyfton attended Provost Elementary and Centennial Middle School before graduating from Payson High School in May 2003. Soon after graduation from high school, he went to the Las Vegas Le Courdon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in 2006 where he fulfilled his dream of becoming a chef.

Clyfton eloped with his sweetheart, Amanda Green, to Las Vegas on September 29th 2010, and  they later returned with all their family and friends to the Las Vegas, Nevada LDS Temple to be sealed for time and all eternity on July 13th 2013. They had an instant connection and loved each other deeply. They have been happily married for 13 years and 11 months and were blessed with 4 handsome boys.

He had many types of jobs from working in 5-star restaurants to small town diners. He also worked for the railroad, he was a truck driver, an electrician’s apprentice and his most recent job as an HVAC technician. He gave up his dream of being a professional chef to support his wife and children.

He and Amanda loved and raised their sons to be wonderful, caring young men. His boys were his biggest joy in life. He was a selfless father and a hardworking husband. He loved his family with all his heart and especially adored his sons.

Clyff was a kindhearted man that has impacted so many lives in his short time on earth. We will miss our dear Clyfton but we know that we can be reunited someday through our Saviors redeeming grace.

Clyfton is survived by his wife, Amanda Green Allen, and their 4 sons, Rykker, Linkyn, Sterling, and Winn; parents Myrna Freeman Allen and the late Jerry Clyff Allen; Curtis Clark Green and Tonya Heaps Green; siblings; Jerye (R’dell) Lee; Derryk (Leah) Allen, the late Shauna Allen; Dustyn (Kamie) Allen; Ryial (Nicole) Allen; Alyshia (Mike) Robison; Tiffany Green. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and good friends. We are sure that he is having the most joyous reunion with his loving father, kind sister-in-law, and his many grandparents on the other side of the veil.

I know this is a little late, however, I want to offer my condolences. I’m so sorry for your loss, I recently got back into contact with Clyff and wish I would have realized the pain he was in. I’m so sorry for your loss. I feel not a lot more can be said. Your family are in my thoughts and I hope you can recover from this tragedy and come out the other end strong and healthy.
