Dorwain Wahlquist Livestream Broadcast

Clarence Dorwain Wahlquist, 95, passed away on June 29, 2026.

He was born on June 23, 1931, in Eureka, Utah, to Clarence Wilford Wahlquist and Ruth Williams Wahlquist. He frequently said that Eureka was the best place for a young boy to be raised.

Dorwain received his Airframe and Powerplant (AP) Certificate from Utah State Agricultural College and began his career with Western Airlines in 1953 at Los Angeles International Airport. He retired from Delta Air Lines at Salt Lake City International Airport in 1993 as Lead Mechanic.

Dorwain married his high school sweetheart, Reva Barney, in the Salt Lake Temple on November 1, 1950. Together they raised five daughters after settling in Granger, Utah, in 1957.

He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in numerous leadership positions and quietly contributing wherever he was needed.

One of his most cherished and enduring service assignments was at the Wallsburg Campground, located just up Provo Canyon. For more than 50 years, he helped develop and maintain the campground for the Granger and Granger Central Stakes, where generations of youth and families created lasting memories.

Post retirement, Dorwain built a wood lathe and enjoyed hours in the shop turning wood bowls and other art pieces selling them once a year at local festivals. He will be deeply missed at the Raspberry Days in Garden City.

Dorwain and Reva served together in the Jordan River Temple, at the Salt Lake Prison, and as full-time missionaries in the Micronesia Guam Mission, serving in the islands of Palau and Chuuk. He treasured every opportunity to serve alongside his beloved wife.

Dorwain loved to travel. He and Reva enjoyed many adventures together with friends, and after her passing he continued traveling with his daughters and their spouses. A favorite destination was New Zealand’s Milford Track. He also loved hiking Mount Timpanogos and Lone Peak.

Dorwain is survived by four daughters: Pamela (Bob) Clements; Sheri (John) Warnock; Shauna (Michael) Barnes; and Karna (Dave) Morrow; and one son-in-law, Chris Worsencroft. His legacy also includes 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his three siblings, Garth Wahlquist, Bethea Wolf, and Farrell Wahlquist; his beloved wife, Reva; his daughter, Michelle Worsencroft; and three grandsons, Justin Clements, Cohan Barnes, and Wesley Worsencroft.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints West Valley Stake Center, 2850 West 3835 South, West Valley City, Utah. Friends may pay their respects at a viewing on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., or on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the memorial service.

Interment will follow at Salem City Cemetery, 965 South 140 East, Salem, Utah.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for the many friends, neighbors, and fellow church members whose love and friendship enriched Dorwains life.

Dorwain was the best! We got to know him while volunteering with My Hometown in WVC. He would help out on every day of service from April through October while we were there (2022-2025) and was such a hard worker. He was such a kind, service oriented, generous man, and was so friendly to all of us. Our condolences to his family.
