Christine (Simmons) Niko passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 at the age of 77. She lived an eventful life, full of love and family. A loving and devoted woman of God. She treated every child she met as her own and is often described as “The nicest and sweetest woman ever.”
She loved to travel which she did as often as time allowed. She was a voracious reader who loved mystery, history, and learning. She could often be found deep in the pages of 2 of her favorite authors Agatha Christie and Lois L’Amour. You were also just as likely to find her reading an electrical engineering book. She loved the mountains and the sea. Especially the Great Mountain West of her formative years and the South Pacific. Her interests were vast and varied. Art, music, movies, and dance there was no genre left by the wayside. There was no choosing between Star Wars and Star Trek she was an “all of the above” kind of fan. Taking apart and repairing small electronics was not beyond the pale for this eclectic woman. She believed fully in wonder and magic till the very end.
She is survived by her husband, 5 children, 19 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Her funeral services are on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 1 PM, located at 541 West Center Street, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may attend a visitation prior to services from 11:00-12:45 PM. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork Cemetery. Coming full circle back to the place of her birth.
