Christin Jones, beloved wife, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on June 24, 1971, in Pueblo, Colorado, Christin was the daughter of Sal and Virginia Martinez. Raised in Westminster, Colorado, she grew up surrounded by love and support, a reflection of the values instilled in her by her devoted parents.
Christin’s academic journey began at St. Anne’s School in Arvada, Colorado, where she attended first through seventh grades. She continued her education at Mandalay Jr. High and then graduated from Pomona High School. After high school, Christin followed her passion for healthcare and began her higher education journey. She first attended Ricks College in Idaho, earning her Associate’s Degree. She then went to Brigham Young University where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Christin’s dedication to the nursing profession was clear throughout her life, and she profoundly impacted many people’s lives with her compassionate care and unwavering dedication. She worked in the mother/baby department at Mount Timpanogos Regional Hospital.
On May 4, 1996, Christin married her best friend, Stephen C. Jones, in Littleton, Colorado. Their love story continued to flourish as they were later sealed in the Denver LDS Temple. Christin and Stephen shared nearly 30 years of love, joy, and companionship, building a family together and creating a home filled with laughter, support, and kindness. They are the proud parents of Maelee Annah and Allie Lynn Jones.
Christin’s nurturing and caring nature extended far beyond her professional life. She was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, and friend, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her warmth and compassion touched all who knew her.
She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and her faith was an integral part of her life. She served in many callings, including nursery, primary, young women’s, and relief society.
Christin was a very talented swimmer and enjoyed sharing those talents with others by teaching swimming. In her spare time, she enjoyed scrapbooking, exercising, and traveling. Some of her favorite places to visit were Disneyland and Disneyworld.
Christin could not pass up a good deal. Friends and family knew they could count on Christin to find the best discounts and were often impressed by the treasures she came home with. Even if it meant making a detour on her way to meet someone or spending a little extra time in the store, she couldn’t resist. The deals called to her, and she always answered.
Christin leaves behind her loving husband, Stephen C. Jones, her daughters, and a host of friends and family who will miss her dearly. Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her legacy of kindness, compassion, and faith will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A funeral service will be held in her honor where loved ones will gather to celebrate her life and the remarkable impact she had on everyone around her.

January 10, 2025 at 7:37 pmI love you and will miss you auntie Christin. Watching your service made me incredibly sad but I’m thankful you are at peace and dancing with angels. You and Steve raised the most beautiful, headstrong daughters and I hope one day I’m half the mom you were. You embodied a true warrior who was selfless, kind, patience, and loving. Always know you’re greatly loved and missed.
