Cheryl Rebecca Johnson, born September 27, 1973, in Provo Utah, passed away peacefully on the evening of July 12, 2020.
Cheryl was a star student who loved to play softball and volleyball with her dearest friends. Because of her natural compassion, kindness and genuine spirit, she was a shining light to all those who befriended her.
After she graduated from Spanish Fork High School, she pursued higher education as a Medical Assistant through Stevens Henager College. Shortly after she graduated with a technical degree, she immediately started working at St. Mark’s Hospital, in the cardiology department. After working in the medical field, she continued to help others and became a caregiver to men and women with special needs.
Cheryl saw the world in a different perspective; she was never one to be quick to judge and only saw the good in people. You could always count on her to listen with sincerity and empathize with you.
She was an avid reader, who enjoyed many mystery novels. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time in nature and never missed an opportunity to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
Cheryl left a legacy of future generations who will continue to grow and remember the amazing mother, wife, and grandmother that she was. Cheryl reminded those who came in contact with her, that you don’t need a lot of possessions to live a happy life, as long as you have your family, you will always be loved. Cheryl is now in the loving arms of her Father in Heaven.
She is survived by her three children: Scott, Paul and Aidan; her four siblings: Chris, Marlo, Matt and Greg; her parents, Jim and Lani Neer; as well as her two grandchildren, Issabelle-Rose and Levi.
There will be a visitation, for Cheryl’s family and friends, on Friday morning, July 17, 2020, from 10-11 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah. Graveside service will follow, at 11:30 a.m. at Salem City Cemetery, 130 East 965 South, Salem, Utah 84653.
