Cheri Jean Jacobson was born on May 20th, 1968 in St. George, UT to Candice Jensen. Cheri passed away peacefully at her home in Woodland Hills, UT, surrounded by her family on July 20th, 2023.
Cheri grew up in Mesquite, NV, and attended Virgin Valley High School where she was a cheerleader and played just about every instrument in the school band. On November 18th, 1989 Cheri married Todd Hunt in Genola, UT, and had two daughters, Baeli and Caide. They later divorced and on April 27th, 2015 Cheri married her eternal companion, Nels Jacobson in Las Vegas, NV and they were later sealed in the Payson LDS Temple on June 18th, 2016.
Cheri was a talented pianist and could almost always be found at her piano or organ. She shared her joy of music with her participation in sacrament meetings, primary, and various choir activities along with many family functions. She had a love for sports, especially softball. She played throughout high school, and thereafter. She has passed that love along to her two daughters. Once she was unable to play herself she became the biggest supporter to her children and grandchildren. She was an avid quilter and loved to crotchet baby blankets and other odds and ends for her family and friends.
Cheri was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed her many callings from primary to young women’s leader, relief society, and supporting pianist for the choir.
Cheri had a laugh that could light up any room, and she impacted many lives throughout her years. She is survived by her husband, Nels Jacobson, her sister Judy (Rick), her two daughters, Baeli (Tyrail) and Caide (Ryan), 4 bonus sons, James (Danielle), Jason, Jacob, and Jeremy (Morgen), 1 bonus daughter, Kyrie, and 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother, Candice Brown, her grandparents, Zona and Omer Jensen, and her bonus daughter, Kyrie Jacobson.

July 23, 2023 at 3:26 amCheri you will be missed. We met at VVHS you became a friend to me. I had just moved to Mesquite and did not know anyone. You welcomed me with open arms. You have always been an Angel yesterday and today. I feel safer knowing you are watching over us. I’m so glad we found each other on Facebook and stayed close. After many years of no contact we picked up like it was yesterday. You will be missed and are loved by so many. I won’t say bye instead, see you later my friend! I love you💜
