Our family lost an amazing soul on Wednesday. Chantelle Evans passed away peacefully in her home in Lindon, on June 22, 2022, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Chantelle left this world exactly how she wanted, at home and surrounded by her family. She was 44 years old. She was born on June 15, 1978, in Payson to Cheryl Hales. She attended school in Spanish Fork and Provo, Utah and graduated from the Montana Job Corp.
Chantelle was a hard worker and spent 5 years at Smith’s in Provo where she worked her way up to Deli Manager. Smith’s is where she came to know the most beautiful people that she called her work family. She was always looking out for others and would help any and everyone. She enjoyed spending time feeding the homeless and other charitable activities. Chantelle always liked doing crafts and making things. She also enjoyed camping and fishing. Her absolute favorite thing was to spend time with her family especially holding her granddaughter, Nova and being with Forrest, her grandson.
Chantelle is survived by her beloved mother, Cheryl. She leaves behind 3 children, Alexis (Josh Jones) Evans of Draper, Savannah Wright of Lindon and Justin Wright of Lindon. Chantelle also leaves behind 2 grandchildren, Forrest and Nova. She doted on her grandchildren, and each believes they are Grandma’s favorite. She is also survived by her siblings Tyler (Lacey) Evans, Amber (Brian) Martinson, and Kurtis Bethers. Chantelle will miss her adopted family, Andrew and Julie Wright and their wonderful children. Chantelle is preceded in death by her grandmother, Lola Laycock; her brother, Cody Evans; and the love of her life, Sean Wright.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Walker Funeral Home in Spanish Fork, UT. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:45-10:45am and the service will begin at 11:00am.
Chantelle’s children and her mother would like to thank Maple Creek Home Health and Hospice and Chantelle’s nurses, Keeley Gonzalez and Heather Lyman, for their loving care. A special thanks also to all of Chantelle’s friends and extended family for their love and support during Chantelle’s illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Chantelle’s name at Walker Funeral Home in Spanish Fork.

June 27, 2022 at 5:29 pmI will miss you my sweet friend, there were so many days that I would have lost my mind or my job if it weren’t for you being there. You helped me so much and sometimes without even knowing it. Thank you for being an amazing friend, coworker and neighbor. I will miss your laughter, your jokes waving to you on your porch but most importantly I will miss you. Love and miss you always, thank you for being who you were and I am so grateful and thankful that you were my friend.
