Cecilia Sara Bullock January 22, 1948 - July 28, 2026

Cecilia Sara Bullock, born on January 22, 1948, in Tooele, Utah was sent to her eternal home on July 28, 2026, at 12:16 AM, in Payson, Utah, due to her battle with cancer. She is the beloved daughter of Eulalia Rafelita (Lila) Knowles and Enrique Elfido (Henry) Chacón.

Cece, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith.

Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the many others whose lives she touched. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact she had on everyone who knew her.

Cece spent her childhood in Tooele, Utah, and later moved to Salt Lake City, where she graduated from East High School. As the second oldest of nine children, she learned early to be a responsible caregiver, providing compassion and unconditional love while staying busy watching over her younger brothers and sisters.

While performing one of her cleaning chores, Cece was washing the inside of her windows when a young man riding his bike passed by. Seeing her arm and hand waving, he mistakenly thought she was waving at him. In reality, she was simply cleaning the windows, but this serendipitous moment served as the introduction to the love of her life, Murph S. Bullock. They were later married on January 8, 1966.

After graduating from East High School, Cece moved to Elberta, Utah, to live with her in-laws briefly before relocating to Springlake and Salem. She eventually settled in Payson, Utah, where she raised her family near the Nebo Mountains. Her dedication to her faith and her desire to help those in need epitomized her joyful and generous nature.

Cece shared her love of life with her family, her friends, and her community. She magnified her love to serve in the truest sense of the word, serving as a CNA at several assistance living facilities in Payson and Spanish Fork. Cece often would say that it’s an incredibly demanding but rewarding career, involving a deep one-on-one relationship with residents, and helping them maintain their independence as they age and later moving on to an Elementary Lunch Lady. She humbly shared her compassion to help, her delicious cooking, her willingness to listen to those in need and—most of all—her genuine love for everyone.

Cece is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Murph, as well as her children Douglas Bullock, Angel (Ty) Herring, Paula (Mike) Rhoades. Cece was the proud grandmother of Sara, Haylie, Lacey, Hunter, Tyrell, and Doug. She is also the great-grandmother of ten grandchildren, Her sisters, Rose, Darlene, Mary and brothers Rudy, Ronnie, and Joe Ben. She was proceeded in death by her parents Henry Chacón and Lila Knowles, brother Robert Chacon, and sister Esther Beardall.

After her graduation from East High School, Cece embarked on her honeymoon and moved to Elberta, Utah and lived with her in-laws. For a short time before moving to Springlake, Utah and Salam, Utah, and finally made Payson, Utah her hometown. Her dedication to her faith and her desire to bring light to those in need epitomized her joyful and generous nature. Her love for long drives on motorcycles or cars reflected her adventurous and free spirit.

Those who knew Cece will remember her for her infectious smile and overwhelming laughter, her deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and her unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone she encountered. She had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.

Cece and Murph lived across the street from my grandparents the Pickering’s. I’m also the same age as Paula. At one time, I worked at Hales Rest Home in Spanish Fork with Cece. She worked mornings and I worked graveyards. I’m so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you at this difficult time.
