In the early morning of Saturday, June 11, 2022, as the sun was rising, Cathy passed from this life. She was born November 25, 1958, in Payson, Utah, the youngest child and only daughter, to William Ray Christopherson and Thelma Higgins Christopherson. She and her two older brothers, Jim and Kevin, grew up on a trout farm in Springlake, Utah. She graduated with the Class of 1977 from Payson High School. She later obtained her associate degree in drafting.
Cathy loved hiking in the warmer months of the year, and snowshoeing in the winter; and liked traveling worldwide, all of which enabled her to enjoy her other hobby of photography. She liked playing volleyball and golf; and in quiet moments, she liked painting and putting puzzles together. Cathy is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She began her working days as a cake decorator at Smith’s Bakery, then was employed at Magleby’s Construction and Pre-Corp before spending the remainder of her career as a draftsman with the State of Utah, Department of Transportation.
Cathy is survived by her children: Mandi Marvin of Springville, Utah; Dillon (Krystle) Marvin of Santaquin, Utah; Alyssa (Josh) Nelson of Salem, Utah; and Paige (Zac) Olson of Santaquin, Utah. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Savanna, Jerica, Makenzie, Heidi, and Gracie Smith; Jackson, Jakelle, Colton, and Kinley Marvin; Lillian, Adaline, and Emalynn Nelson; and Zander, Chase, Allison, and Cole Olson. She is also survived by her brothers, Jim Christopherson, and Kevin (Teena) Christopherson; two nephews, and one niece. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, William Ray and Thelma Christopherson.
Funeral Services will be Friday, June 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home, also Friday morning, June 17th, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral. Interment will be at Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah 84651.

June 16, 2022 at 7:02 pmI had the privilege of knowing Cathy, her kids and grandkids for many years. She did a good job of raising them pretty much on her own. She truly loved them. I am thankful for the years we had together and the memories we created. I think of her every day and I miss her. RIP Cathy.
