Carolyn Zeeman Allan, beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Friend passed away due to complications of dementia and osteoporosis on October 12, 2022, in Spanish Fork, Utah.
She was born August 4, 1945, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Eltjo (Al) Zeeman and Agnes Christina Skinner Zeeman, one of their six children, her siblings being Don, Kathleen, Kenneth, Farrel, and Bonnie. Carolyn was a life-long resident of Spanish Fork where she attended schools, graduating Spanish Fork High School.
Carolyn married the love of her life, Reed W Allan, in the Salt Lake Utah Temple, October 10, 1963. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary just two days prior to her death. Together they were parents of Kirk, Blake, Jennifer, David, and Carrie.
In her younger years, she worked for Mountain Bell Telephone. She was a devoted wife and busy mother, which was her foremost endeavor. She later worked as an aide and teacher in Nebo School District.
Carolyn loved music. She liked sewing, putting puzzles together, and she was a house-cleaner-supreme. She also really enjoyed camping at Payson Canyon, where she and Reed spent many summers in their trailer. Carolyn absolutely loved Christmas time and decorating for it. In fact, in her last years, she found such enjoyment in Christmas décor, she left it up year-round. But unquestionably, her most favorite pastime, was spending time with her beloved family, wherever they were and whatever they were doing.
She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She actively served in multiple callings over the years, especially loving her calling as Music Chorister, as well her time in the Primary and Relief Society organizations.
Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband, Reed; and four of her five children: Kirk (Michelle) Allan of Orem, Utah; Blake (Delia) Allan of Springville, Utah; David (Kathryn) Allan of Liberty Township, Ohio; and Carrie (Robert) Wyman of St. George, Utah. Also survived by grandchildren: Kathryn, Jeffrey, Samuel, Arinda, Eli, Jared, Trevor, Spencer, Reuben, Graham, Grace, Julia, Steele, and Summer; as well as eight great-grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings: Kathleen (Richard) Waters, Kenneth (Linda) Zeeman, Farrel Zeeman, and Bonnie (Neil) Graff. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Don Zeeman; her infant daughter, Jennifer; and grandchildren, Elle Wyman and William Allan.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Meadowlark 2nd Ward Chapel located at 1661 South 1400 East, Spanish Fork, Utah.
