Carolyn G (Gamett) Jackson January 8, 1936 - June 16, 2023

Our loving mother, Carolyn G Jackson, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2023, after a short illness.  She was born January 8, 1936 in Nephi, Utah to LaVell Clarence and Fay Taylor Gamett.  She married William LeRoy Jackson September 18, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Carolyn was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She loved to cheer for the “B”, “Y”, “U”.  She graduated from the BYU High School and loved attending BYU sports and other cultural events with her mother until she passed away in 2003.  She worked for many years at Sears.  Her pastimes were puzzles, Facebook, the Hallmark channel and her family.

Carolyn is survived by her husband and seven of her children: Brian (Cindy) Jackson, Julie Giles, Scott (Cheryl) Jackson, Sherrie (Roy) Payne, Brad (Jody) Jackson, Karolee (Paul) Muniz, and Nicole (Damien) Peters; 23 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and her siblings Joe, Joyce, and Daryl.  She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law; Tracy Giles, and a loving son; Craig L Jackson.

In accordance with her wishes, there will not be a public memorial service. Interment will be at Provo City Cemetery on Friday June 23, 2023. Prior to the graveside service there will be a visitation at Walker Funeral Home Thursday evening, June 22, 2023, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.  The family wishes to thank the kind staff at Heritage Gardens Assisted Living for their loving support.
