Carolyn Frances (Nettleton) Bench was born on April 25, 1938 in Columbus Ohio to Naomi K. Nettleton and B. Edward Nettleton.
Carolyn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a member of the Spanish Fields 2nd Ward in Spanish Fork , Utah for 10 years. Carolyn was married to her eternal companion, Boyd Dean Bench on April 23, 1960, and they were sealed on 26 August 2011 in the Mount Timpangos Temple.
Anyone that knew Carolyn, knew that she loved everyone. She would meet someone for the first time and would always express her love and gratitude for them. She was very social and loved to share her hobbies. Carolyn in her early years enjoyed painting, drawing, crochet, and playing her mandolin. Carolyn loved to share everything she had. She was very giving and would give much of her artwork and crocheted blankets away. Carolyn donated her blankets to members in her congregation that were expecting as well as to the hospital. She gave most of her treasures away, and it gave her so much joy to give to others.
Carolyn loved the Lord and often could be found singing gospel tunes. She loved her family and enjoyed her calls from her younger sister Shirley and Shirley’s husband Bill and Chewey, their Chihuahua.
