Carol Huff Llewellyn passed away peacefully, at her home, on September 28, 2020. She was born December 3, 1932, to Harvey and Donna Thomas Huff. She married her sweetheart, Robert Llewellyn, on February 14, 1951; they had been married 69 years at the time of her passing.
She is the mother of five children: Blake, Brenda, Sharlene, Jeniel, and Tammi. Carol and Bob have 21 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Carol had many jobs throughout her life. She was a seamstress at a sewing plant. She owned and operated an appliance and hardware store in Spanish Fork with her husband for many years called “Gambles.” She retired from Nebo School District as a lunch lady. Most of her grandkids got to enjoy her excellent cooking in their school lunch rooms. She always gave them extra French fries and let them cut to the front of the line. Her most important job, though, was that of a wife, mother, and homemaker.
She loved to bake and was an amazing cook. Some of her favorite dishes, loved by everyone, were her potato salad, carrot cake, pie dough cookies, pickled beets, and her famous grilled cheese sandwich served along with an ice-cold can of Pepsi.
When Carol and Bob retired, they spent every second with each other. They took many trips, with family and friends, but their most favorite thing was traveling together in their motorhome.
Carol is loved by many and will be missed greatly. She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Llewellyn; her children: Blake (Gaylen) Llewellyn, Brenda Llewellyn, Sharlene (Boyd) Barber, Jeniel (Terry) Yoder, and Tammi (Steve) Hansen; as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Janice Carson and Sharon Swenson. She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Rowene Bird; and her best friend, JoAnne Jensen.
A graveside service will be held Friday, October 2, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery, 420 South 400 East, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660.
