Carl Uichi Jones December 30, 1945 - August 14, 2021

On Friday, August 14, 2021, Carl Uichi Jones, loving husband and father of four passed away at the age of 75.

Carl was born on December 30, 1945, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Wiley Merwyn and Rose Jones. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1965-1970. After faithfully serving his country, he became a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers.

He married Allora Shields and had two boys, Carl Jr. and Travis Jones. Later, he married Shirley Ray Mead and raised Brian Van Dam, and had Andrew Earl and Jamie Amber Jones.

Carl loved family first and foremost. His kind and mellow temperament was appreciated by everyone he encountered. He also enjoyed cooking, relaxing with family, and helping others. Carl was the person that would drop everything to help someone in need.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wylie and Rose Jones; his daughter, Jamie Amber Jones; his brothers: Harold Jones, Merwyn Jones, and Wiley Minoru Jones; and his sister, Alice Kishida.

Carl leaves behind his wife, Shirley Jones; his sons: Carl, Travis, Brian, and Andrew; his brothers: James, Russel, William, Hugh, and Don; his sisters: Thelma, Betty, Gladys, and LilyAnne; his grandchildren: Jasmine, Kaylee, Leila, Lucky, Carl, CJ, Crystal, Cheyenne, Luke, Joey, King, Jivoni, Brooklyn, Tyler, and Madison.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah 84651. A graveside service will be held Friday, August 20, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. at Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah 84651.
