Brian Verle Allred, 64, of Mapleton, Utah passed away peacefully, with a smile on his face, on June 2, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 6, 1961 in Provo, Utah to Verle and Alyce Allred.
Brian graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Brigham Young University. He enjoyed a successful career as a Software Engineer and was employed at Simplifile when he passed away. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1979 to 1981 in Montevideo, Uruguay mission.
In 1985, Brian married Cindy Fisher and together they shared 40 wonderful years and had children Bryce, Michael, Spencer, and Kristen. He loved his wife and children very much, but they loved him more.
Outside of work, Brian enjoyed thrashing his children at sports (especially disc golf), board and card games, hiking, expert woodworking, crafting a beautiful home landscape, handyman tasks, reading, and playing with his grandkids. Brian loved to travel and especially enjoyed trips with his family. He was known for his genuine smile, his amazing sense of humor, and his steadiness through adversity. He rarely complained and he loved to make people laugh. When he was at the hospital, he greeted both familiar and new faces with a broad smile.
Brian was an exceptionally intelligent person who could learn how to do anything and seemed to know at least something about everything. He was a hard worker who spent many hours caring for his large property and teaching his children the value of hard work. The profound love felt for him by his wife and children at his passing is a testament to the kind of man he was, someone who prioritized his family and did his best to live his life in a moral and exemplary way.
He is survived by his spouse, Cindy; his children, Bryce, Michael and his wife Sarah, Spencer, and Kristen and her husband Aaron; his grandchildren, Olivia, David, Gideon, Nora, Rowan, Emmalyn, William, and Oliver; his siblings, Steve, Karen, and Darin; and also his parents, Verle and Alyce. He was preceded in death by his brother Alan.
There will be a visitation in Brian’s honor on Monday, June 8, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home located at 187 South Main St., Spanish Fork, Utah. An additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 1316 South Main St., Mapleton, Utah.
