Bonny Banks Hicken, 81, passed away on November 14, 2018 of natural causes. She was born July 24, 1937, the third child of Rodney William and Mable Stark Banks. She attended school in Spanish Fork, graduating in 1956 were she was active in student government and was Junior Prom Queen.
She married her high school sweetheart, Clyde R. Hicken on August 19, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple. Bonny was active in all church auxiliaries including ward Relief Society President and Stake Young Womens President. She was proud to be a stay at home mother to her 3 sons and 1 daughter. After raising her beautiful children she later served at the MTC with her husband. She enjoyed her many callings as an ordinance worker, assistant to the Temple Matron in the Provo, Utah Temple, in the recorder’s office in the Payson, Utah Temple and serving many years as a Pink Lady at the Payson Hospital. She had a smile and love for everyone.
She is preceded in death by her son Bret, her parents, her sisters Emma Del Larsen (Paul-dec.) and Ann Francis (Larry). She is survived by her husband Clyde, daughter-in-law Leca Thomas Hicken, Spanish Fork, son Scott (Jennette), Fairfield CA, daughter Shelly Bills (Steven), Spanish Fork, son Clark (Kelli), Springville, and brother Rodney (Ginger) Murray, as well as her 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. located at the Spanish Fork 3rd Ward, 575 West 400 North, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may visit Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. located at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah and again from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
