I am a member of First Baptist Provo & met Bobbie through Eula Monroe when we started attending in 2014. I have loved the several visits and chats we’ve had over the years.

Since I went to college in Siloam Springs, AR and have been to Ft. Smith, we’ve talked many times about Arkansas and her memories, including when she was saved at a young age at a small country church in Arkansas (is this correct)?

She always loved to hear about what was going on at First Baptist, had memories of the Christmas tree in the foyer, and would reminisce about Sunday School and the kids performing on stage. I loved our visits, petting her cat, and just seeing her friendly smiling face. She always welcomed us warmly, and had plenty to tell us about. I was happy I got to see her before Christmas, and that my husband, son & several FBC members had communion with her in January. I was also happy that Barbara Kester brought her to our church a couple of times last summer.

I am praying for comfort for your family that can only be found in resting in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ps. 34:18)

Here is a link to a few photos of her with FBC members (dates & first names included, Lynda Porter, Eula Monroe, Laurie & Asher Kauer): https://photos.app.goo.gl/ig7JhjvYvF9tEBSb6

We loved Bobbie so much! She was such a great friend to our Grandma Velma, who lived across the street in Spanish Fork. We were able to keep in touch with her for a few years after grandma died, but unfortunately lost touch after that. But we’ve thought about her every time we’ve driven along 8th north and passed her house. I have never known a kinder, more generous person! She loved to give her ‘used’ puzzles to my mom for her preschool, and always had a treat for the kids when we’d stop by to see her. We will always be grateful for the opportunity we had to associate with Sweet Bobbie!

    Dear Family,

Having the opportunity to know and love Bobbie is a treasure. When I first moved to Provo in 1992 to work at BYU, I had already found First Baptist Church of Provo, for people had reached out to me before I arrived in the valley. Bobbie and Everett were among the many who made me feel very welcome. As Bobbie was able to attend less and less, I missed her smile and kindly disposition more and more. We visited on occasion, and those times were special, too.

She is precious to God, and she remains–and will remain–precious to me. I am sorry I cannot be there in person to honor her passage.

May God richly bless you with His Peace, and especially so during this time of bereavement.

    In His love,

    Eula Monroe

    To Bobbie’s Family,

Knowing and loving Bobbie is a very special treasure. We first met when I came from Kentucky to Provo in 1992 to teach at BYU and work with the campus Baptist Student Union. She and Everett were staunch members of First Baptist Church of Provo; they were among the first of the many who welcomed me and helped me feel at home. Over the years I have missed Bobbie’s warm smile and kindly disposition more and more as she was able to attend services less and less. I visited with her on occasion, and those were precious times.

I pray for you the presence of the Comforter, even more so as you go through the difficulties of this time of bereavement, and that the influence of this precious lady’s love and caring will remain with you throughout your lifetimes.

    In His love,

    Eula Monroe

Heartfelt condolences to Larry and family as well as all those who loved Aunt Bobbie. My mother was Marlene Jones Neumann, daughter of Hazel Jones, sister-in-law of Bobbie. I have fond childhood memories of her, she was so sweet. Rest in Heavenly Peace, Aunt Bobbie.
