Bobbie L. Anderton September 30, 1929 - July 22, 2022

Bobbie LaRee Henrie Anderton, age 92, returned to her Heavenly Father, in her home, July 22, 2022, after a life of service to her family and church.

Bobbie was born September 30, 1929, in Standardville, Utah, a coal mining town that was located in Carbon County, Utah, to Samuel Osborne Henrie and Nola Maude Hitchcock Henrie.  She was raised on a farm in Miller Creek, Utah, near Price, where she and five sisters helped with all the chores. She and her father shared a love of horses.  She jockeyed horses; and was selected as a rodeo 2nd Attendant, then a year later,  Rodeo Queen, on her beloved horse, Gazelle.

Bobbie married Donald Hale Anderton in Duchesne, Utah, May 31, 1947; later solemnized in the Manti Utah Temple.  They raised their  five children: Irene, Connie, Judy, Wayne, and Bryan, in Spanish Fork, Utah.

Mom was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many callings and leadership positions, always devotedly and cheerfully.

Mom was a homemaker; then, in later years, she worked for Stone Drug (Glade Stone) and City Drug (Eldon Andrus).  She also worked for H&R Block and Nebo School District’s lunch department.

She was talented and could do anything … sew, taught 4-H for years, tole-painted, and had a special touch with all other kinds of crafts.  She loved watching her family in all their activities.  She was an avid fan of BYU but was the biggest fan of all her grandkids.

Mom and Dad had a special group of friends “the gang” who they enjoyed socializing with, and Mom had fun getting together with a group of ladies “the club” once a month.

Bobbie is survived by four of her children: Irene (Mike) Brunson, Connie Levingston, Judy (Richard) Spear, and Bryan (Phi-Phi) Anderton.  She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don; her parents, her five sisters; and her son, D. Wayne Anderton.

The family of Bobbie would like to thank Symbii Hospice & Home Health Care, especially Corrie, Monique, and Cindy.

A viewing will be held Wednesday morning, July 27, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the 7th Ward LDS Church, 761 East 400 North, Spanish Fork, Utah. Dear Anderton Family,
I think of your mom so often. She was so elegant, fun, had a great laugh and superb sense of humor. She was so beautiful and she passed that beauty on to all of her children. I just found out about Bobby’s passing and looked up to see if I can get a flight out to Utah for this Wednesday. The tickets are so costly, I cannot afford it right now (I am working in Seattle). You have always been so supportive–being there at our weddings, funerals, and lives. I want you to know what an important role you have played in my life and my sisters’ lives. I have always looked up to you and your family. Your mother was the center of everything. I know you will miss your mom terribly. She was such a kind person. I am sending my love for you and your entire family.
