Blake Bowen Johnson, age 64, just shy of his 65th birthday, passed away in the early morning of August 10th, after a short life well lived. He was born August 11, 1959, to Lee Hone Johnson and Denise Bowen Johnson. He was the second born to the Johnson’s 4 children.
Blake graduated from Spanish Fork High School, then moved to Price to work in the coal mines where he met and married his sweetheart, Kim Eldora Koss Johnson on May 21, 1982. After the mines shut down, they moved to Grand Junction Colorado to do construction. Then moved back to Spanish Fork. He worked for Klune Industries for over 30 years. The last 4 years he worked for Western State Mechanical as a plumber.
Blake was adventurous and the outdoors was his second home. At an early age and throughout his life he enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing and has many trophies to show his dedication. He also filled his free time in the dessert, riding four-wheelers, seeking out arrowheads, and petrified wood. In the winter months he would go snowmobiling in the mountains. He always enjoyed watching sports and car racing on TV. More recently in great weather you would catch him trying his hand at golf and taking a nice nap on a Sunday afternoon.
Blake was a gently soul, he would go above and beyond to help you in any way he could. He was loved by many, as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, and will be greatly missed.
Blake was preceded in death by his father Lee Hone Johnson. He is survived by his devoted family, spouse Kim, daughter: April (Ali), his two grandchildren: Corah, Alina. Mother: Denise Johnson, Siblings: Jeff (Yvonne), Carolyn (Bret), Steven (Kirsteen).
All are welcomed to attend the celebration of Blake’s life on Friday, August 23rd at 1:00pm at Walker funeral home: 187 S. Main St. Spanish Fork, Utah with a viewing at 11:00 am – 12:45 pm.
