Blaine Wilson Mitchell, age 91, of Payson, Utah passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025. Blaine was born on July 6, 1933, in Brigham City, Utah, to James Wilson and Ethel Amelia Clark Mitchell. He was one of four children. He graduated from Payson High School.
Blaine served in the United States Airforce from 1952-1956 and during the Korean War.
He married Donna May Jasperson on February 27, 1959, in Ely, Nevada and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti, Utah temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on June 3, 1964. They were blessed with two sons, Gary and Jeff.
Blaine always had something going on. Growing up he always had horses, cows, pigs, and chickens. His biggest pride in life was his family. His boys were always right by his side. He enjoyed riding and training racehorses. He loved going on trail rides and sightseeing with his boys. He lived life to the fullest.
Blaine worked for Geneva Steel, retiring after 32 years of employment.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Donna; sons, Gary and Jeff (Kris) Mitchell; grandchildren, Laci (Kacey) Koyle, Dallin Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Ryker, and Brylie; sister, Lois (Alton) Nielson. Blaine was preceded in death by his parents James and Ethel Mitchell; siblings, Doris (Blaine) Dibble and Earl (Colleen) Walker; grandson Clay Mitchell and granddaughter Shanna Mitchell; and brother-in-law Alton Nielson; and a nephew Casey Nielson.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Payson City Cemetery located at 400 North 800 East in Payson, Utah. Visitation will be prior from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah.
